Since modern cameras can shoot fantastic video along with stills it's got me thinking about how to be a more well rounded wedding documentarian. I spent the better part of the last three months trying to figure out how I could do both at the same time and not have either one suffer. I thought long and hard about what moments lend themselves better to being captured by video and what is better captured by stills. I thought about the process I'd have to develop in order to be able to seamlessly do it and the below is a sample of what I can accomplish. This was a 2 hour elopement where I was tasked to shoot a little bit of prep, the ceremony, and the first part of the reception.
It's not a full hour long wedding video, but it does capture the essence of the connection that this couple has, which is always my number one goal.
