Covid-19 threw us all for a loop this past year and it looked like it was going to mean no weddings or get togethers at all. Thankfully, that wasn't the case and this beautiful young couple were able to dedicate themselves to each other in a beautiful ceremony just in front of this gorgeous lake and celebrate with a small number of friends and family amongst the trees and natural beauty of Daingerfield State Park.
Following the strict and sensible mask wearing and social distancing rules proved an easy task as the outdoor nature of the venue lent itself to the safety precautions and the perfect early October East Texas weather made the entire event a wonderful experience.
Spirits were high when I arrived to capture the day's preparations. Ashley was giddy and excited and Larry was effervescent and I could tell that they were going to be a fun couple to work with.
The couple's theme was Never Never Land and the bridal party's costumes were amazing! They had Captain Hook, Tinkerbell and a Mermaid!
Ashley had the idea that they should both be blindfolded for the first look pictures and I think they came out great.
Their vows were so touching.
Larry is a masterful dipper.
They were so energetic and fun!
Larry should really give clinics.
It was truly an honor to be able to be such an integral part of their day and help capture that unique, youthful, exuberantly energetic love they have for each other.
