John and Michelle had their wedding in a lovely little venue on Main St in Denison Texas aptly called "The Venue." It's an intimate little space that was perfect for their no frills sort of day.
Michelle arrived fully dressed so we had a little mini fashion bridal shoot in the ceremony area before heading out to Say When Brewery where John was having a pint and awaiting the first look. After the first look we walked around to a few different spots for some couples photos. Downtown Denison is a lovely quaint little place and we got some great shots in the brewery itself as well as a mural that was nearby and an old gas station.
We headed back to The Venue in time for family photos and then it was time for the ceremony. John and Michelle were blending their families together so a big part of the ceremony involved their three children and it was very sweet.
They didn't do much in terms of a first dance or grand exit or anything, they just stuck to the things they really wanted out of their wedding day, they had some speeches and a cake cutting and a wonderful dinner with some excellent steak.
That's what I love about helping a couple capture their day for them, when they make it their own and stick to those things that make their day special: and for John and Michelle that meant family.
